Be decent, own what you share, and don’t use rooms to hurt people or systems.

Draft, pending legal review · Last updated 29 October 2026

The short version

  • Free to use, no account needed.
  • You own what you write.
  • We remove content that breaks these rules.

Using Shareroom

Shareroom is free to use. You don’t need an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in safe.

What you can’t do

Share malware or code meant to break into systems, other people’s private information, harassment or hate, or content you don’t have the right to share.

Use rooms to overload or attack Shareroom or anyone else.

Your content

You own what you write. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you share it with, only so the product works.

The licence of the Shareroom application doesn’t grant anyone rights over content people write or publish.

When we remove things

If something breaks these rules, we may take down the room or the read-only copy. A room that is taken down closes for everyone in it, including the owner, and its read-only copies stop opening. Copies that others already downloaded or saved can’t be recalled.

A way to ask for a review will be listed here once a contact address exists.

Accessibility

The target is WCAG 2.2 AA across public and private pages. It is a target, not a verified result. A dedicated accessibility contact hasn’t been set up yet; it will be listed here once it exists.
